Whipsnade Animal Park (6.4Miles)

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, set in 600 acres of Chiltern parkland on Dunstable Downs, is run by the same folks as ZSL London Zoo. On this large acreage, however, there is lots and lots of room for the animals to roam around in habitats emulating their homelands (well, this is still England, so you do have to use a little imagination, depending on the time of year you visit!).

Woburn Safari Park, Woburn (4.7Miles)

World famous safari park with every species of animal you could wish to see. Highly recommended. Admission to this great park is £14.50 for adults and £11.50 for children from 10am to 5pm in March to October. During the rest of the year the park only opens at the weekends. Woburn Abbey, Abbey

Perhaps Bedfordshire’s most famous landmark, Woburn Abbey is just stunning on the inside as it is from the outside. Entry to the Abbey is currently £9 for adults and £4.50 for the kids from 11am till 4pm every day from mid March through to the end of October. In the winter months it only opens at the weekends.
